Because equine-assisted learning is a new approach to foster-parent training, there are many people who do not understand why working with horses is beneficial to foster parents. If you found the workshop useful, please take a moment to share any information that might help someone understand and see the value in supporting the Leader of the Herd workshop. The more specific you can be, the more examples we’ll have to share with others as we seek continued funding to provide Parts 1, 2, and 3 and a yearly refresher workshop. Examples might include a personal experience with one of the horses and how it has stayed with you, how you have applied any of the learning to your parenting since the workshop, or your thoughts about the experiential nature of this workshop versus classroom-based trainings.
